Job Description

Full-Time 

Reports to: Centralized Pastor of Worship

Summary of Role:

The Regional Worship Director (RWD) provides managerial oversight and spiritual leadership for all Campus Worship Directors (CWD) and their corresponding campus worship teams within a specified region (up to 4 campuses, including both existing campuses and new campus launches). This position will office out of the Stones Crossing campus. This position ensures that every campus experience aligns with the Emmanuel Church vision to see people come to Christ and grow in Christ. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

At Campuses WITH a Staffed Campus Worship Director

  • Oversee each Campus Worship Director’s weekly execution of their campus’ worship experience
  • Maintain continuity and excellence by ensuring that each Campus Worship Director:

o   Programs weekly worship services using Ableton and Planning Center Online (PCO)

o   Manages weekly communication with their worship teams

o   Manages weekly/monthly scheduling

o   Recruits, auditions, and on-boards new worship team member

o   Develops their team spiritually and musically through check-ins and worship training (INFUSE)

o   Manages bi-weekly payroll for contracted worship and production Impact Team

  • Serve regularly with each campus worship team >75% of weekends
  • Collaborate with other RWDs to help support weekend coverage between regions

At Campuses WITHOUT a Staffed Campus Worship Director

  • Work with the Campus Pastor to recruit and develop a contracted 1099 Worship Director to oversee a campus worship team in the interim
  • Until a 1099 Worship Director is assigned, assumes the responsibilities of the CWD in the interim, including:
    • Oversee the weekly execution of the worship experience for the weekend services at the campus
    • Program weekly worship experiences following standards of practice using Ableton and PCO
    • Weekly communication with the worship team for weekend preparation
    • Manage weekly/monthly scheduling of campus worship team utilizing Planning Center and collaborating with CWDs to help with worship coverage across campuses
    • Recruit, audition, and onboard new musicians following the standardized process

New Campus Launches:

  • Serve as the point-person for worship during the new campus launches for the designated region
  • Recruit, train, and develop a new campus worship team to ensure excellent worship experiences from launch forward

Centralized Responsibilities

  • Serve at centralized worship events as directed by Centralized Pastor of Worship, including:

o   Centralized student events and camps

o   Worship development nights (INFUSE)

o   Special services and staff events (Impact Team parties, staff meetings, NOW, RESET, etc.)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading congregational worship or worship teams is preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong public communication skills
  • Proficiency in either voice, guitar, bass, drums, or piano
  • Ability to learn musical production software (Ableton, Playback, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational/administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technology
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner, self-motivated
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry information
  • Demonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity

o   Financial support of the church with your tithe

o   Attend one weekend service each week and monthly staff meetings

o   Participate in community through small group

o   Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period of time off work each week)
