Summary of Role
Emmanuel’s Finance Coordinator is responsible for the management of accounts payable transactions of our church. This role supports the Finance Team through the management of financial tasks, projects, credit card processing, and financial reporting using various applications and software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Emmanuel’s Account Payables: Receive, process, prepare, and reconcile payables for the Finance Director’s and/or bookkeeper’s approval
- Manage vendor relations and expense tracking
- Oversee corporate credit cards: Manage PEX credit cards, review transactions, and maintain reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are appropriately documented and exported to Aplos
- Maintain the Accounts Payable email & voicemail and return correspondence within 24 hours on workdays
- Assist with the allocation of expenses to each campus
- Support monthly closing and report generation
- Assist with onsite and offsite secure document storage
- Assist with updating equipment & asset spreadsheets and supports auditor requests during annual audit
- Provide assistance to the Finance Director, including but not limited to, assisting with staff inquiries regarding budgets, payments, credit card issues, sales tax, and other requests
- Prepare miscellaneous reports such as actual to budget variance analysis and provide to ministry leaders as requested
- Support miscellaneous finance projects; create and maintain spreadsheets and graphs as needed
- Prepare written correspondence for the Finance Director as needed
- Support annual budget preparation, including training employees on Martus software, discussing individual budgets with department leaders, and ensuring budget is accurately loaded and maintained in Aplos
- Work closely with Finance Director on other related duties when requested or assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma required
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- At least one year of experience in entry level financial processing preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational/administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technology
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner, self-motivated
- Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry information
- Demonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity

o Financial support of the church with your tithe
o Attend one weekend service each week and monthly staff meetings
o Participate in community through small group
o Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period of time off work each week)
